Compared to the other Colorado Blue Spruce varieties, the Apache variety is not as drought-tolerant as the others. In fact, it actually prefers more moisture.

Uses
The Colorado Blue Spruce Apache is commonly used for Christmas trees, bonsai trees, windbreak, and erosion control.

Wildlife Value
This tree offers protection for elk, deer, birds.

History & Lore
In the Apache National Forest of Arizona, these trees display more blue than green color in their needles. The seed for this variety is collected from the same forest.
